Rangers are stepping up their transfer hunt this week as Philippe Clement looks to add to his squad before the window ‘slams shut’.
The Belgian manager told reporters following the thumping 6-0 win over Ross County that he expects a ‘busy’ week at Ibrox in terms of incomings and outgoings.
As the club work hard to get those who are surplus to requirements out the door, Rangers continue to be linked to a number of players in the wide positions.
One such option is Norwich City winger Abu Kamara and it appears Rangers will need to act fast if they are serious about striking a deal for the England U20 international.

Hull City launch Abu Kamara transfer bid
Abu Kamara ticks a lot of boxes for Rangers in terms of the club’s revamped recruitment drive.
English-trained and only 21-years-old, the Norwich City attacker is highly rated south of the border but has found chances at a premium at Carrow Road.
Spending last season on loan at Portsmouth, Rangers were linked with a move for Kamara last week but since those initial reports the sounds have gone a tad quiet.
With Pompey manager John Mousinho admitting he’d love the talented winger back at Fratton Park this season, a new player has just entered the game south of the border.
According to Hull Live, ambitious Championship side Hull City are looking to strike a £2m deal to bring Abu Kamara to the MKM Stadium.
The report claims the Tigers have made a ‘firm bid’ as they look to secure the future of the wantaway Canaries talent, with Kamara ‘keen’ on the switch.
It’s also said that the two clubs are ‘expected’ to reach an agreement so Rangers better get a move on if they’re serious about adding Abu Kamara to their ranks.
Hull City have made a number of impressive moves this summer, signing the likes of Rangers-linked Oscar Zambrano on loan from Ecuadorean club LDU Quito.
The English Championship outfit have also won the race to sign Gers-linked Colombian midfielder Gustavo Puerta on loan from Bayer Leverkusen.
Norwich manager open to Rangers target’s exit
News of Hull City’s interest comes after Abu Kamara was left out of the Norwich City squad for the weekend’s 1-1 draw with Sheffield United.
Asked about Kamara’s absence after the game, Norwich’s new manager Johannes Hoff Thorup admitted that all the transfer chatter was a factor in the player missing the game.
The Danish boss suggests that Kamara is likely to leave should the right price be agreed and now all focus will be on Hull City potentially pipping Rangers to another deal.
“I spoke with him the other day, and we just decided that the game will not be for him, for both parties in this, not to create too much distraction and too much attention about that,” Thorup said.
“I think that was also what he, actually at the end, thought was the best decision. So we take it a little bit day by day with Abu and see how it goes.
“We don’t give any players away for free. So that’s the situation. I like him. He’s a good lad, and I think he performs well in training. And he’s a big part of the group, and will still be until there is a transfer deal that we can accept.”
Rangers continue to be linked with a number of wide players heading into the final furlong of the window.
Most notably this includes Egyptian attacker Ibrahim Adel with Rangers reportedly having a bid turned down for the Pyramids FC attacker.
