One of Rangers biggest issues over the last few years has been the wingers not scoring enough goals on either flank.
Philippe Clement had Abdallah Sima at Ibrox last season, however, the Brighton forward has moved to Brest and to Ligue 1.
The manager has been linked with two new names in Josip Brekalo of Fiorentina and Tiago Gouveia of Benfica with both players capable of playing on either wing.

Josip Brekalo could be Rangers Ousmane Dembele
Brekalo in particular would be an interesting proposition given his best form has been in the number 10 role for Torino, an area where Rangers also need quality.
Using Data MB’s comparison model, the 35-times capped Croatia international measures up favourably to one of Europe’s best known wide men – Ousmane Dembele of PSG – and Jeremy Doku of Man City.

In terms of style of play, the 26-year old has similar traits to Ryan Kent.
His main strengths are ball carrying, linking play, passing and his athleticisim, however, he could do with scoring a few more goals.
Given his pedigree and experience in Serie A and the Bundesliga, Josip Brekalo would be a clear upgrade on all but Oscar Cortes and Vaclav Cerny.
With Sima heading to France, it is easy to see why new names have emerged.
Rangers have left-wing alternate amid Breaklo link
One name that also has to be considered for the left-hand side of the attack is Jefte.
For two games he looked like a natural and had the pace, aggression and intent needed to make a difference in the final third.
Injury to Ridvan Yilmaz has seen him drop back into his left-back role, however, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them play together more often when the Turk returns to fitness.
After impressing in the away leg against Dynamo Kyiv, Philippe Clement was quick to reinforce just how good a signing the Brazilian could be:
“From January on, we kept a lot of contact with him. And it was really obvious to come to Rangers.
“A lot of teams were interested in him. A lot of other clubs wanted to sign him. But (Jefte) was really convinced about the project here.
“He’s a very talented player for the future. He needs to learn a lot of things. He’s only 20 and he had one year of experience in Europe but he has the right mentality to fight and be there for the team.
“He has a lot of physical and technical qualities.”
Jefte might not be a natural, but he has the right skillset to play in that position for Rangers, especially in games that might be tighter and more defensive work needs to be done.
Square pegs in round holes was an issue last season though and if Clement can get Josip Brekalo over the line, his squad would instantly look a lot stronger.
