Rangers may yet make a late move for a midfielder in the transfer window – if influential first-teamer Glen Kamara is moved on from the club.
That’s despite claims that the player is set to put an end to speculation over his future by signing a new deal at Ibrox.

Sky Sports journalist Mark Benstead is reporting that the Gers are poised for potential late interest in Kamara, 25, despite the fact a contract offer is on the table for the player.
As they mused over the situation surrounding Rangers on deadline day they suggested that both Glen and influential striker Alfredo Morelos remain on the radar of clubs this window.
Borna Barisic is another name Sky Sports are claiming remains on the radar of some clubs.
“Borna Barisic; there remains interest in him but Sky Sources in Italy are saying Roma are not one of the club’s keen to land the full back although there is a chance he could move on,” said Benstead [Sky Sports].
“Elsewhere, Glen Kamara, Alfredo Morelos, there is still a little bit of interest in those two, nothing near to getting done just yet.
“If anything does happen, particularly in Glen Kamara’s case, there is a chance Rangers would then go back into the market to bring in a replacement.”
This is in direct contradiction to the claims of Jordan Campbell of the Athletic, who believes that all three players are set to stay at Ibrox.
Campbell believes Barisic and Morelos are “both staying” whilst Kamara is “expected” to sign a new deal.
Whatever the case there are outgoings expected as Nikola Katic closes in on a loan move to Hadjuk Split whilst Cedric Itten signs a short-term deal with Bundesliga side Greuther Fürth.
Another Rangers fringe star is also set to depart this window but one journalist is claiming that there is late interest from “unexpected” quarters.
