Emmanuel Fernandez may have played his final game for Rangers despite having moved to Ibrox last summer.

Danny Rohl is an admirer of Fernandez, but may not have the defender’s services to call upon ahead of the 2026/27 season.

The Nigeria international has been linked with an exit, and could be sold if the right offer arrives on the table.

Rangers braced for bids for £20m+ rated Emmanuel Fernandez

According to TEAMtalk, the Gers are expecting significant bids arriving at the door for the centre-back this summer.

Rangers want north of £20m for Fernandez as they are aware of the interest shown by a host of Premier League sides.

Arsenal were reportedly leading the chase, but other clubs also stand a chance to secure his services.

Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔

Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!

The Gunners, along with Chelsea, have scouted the 24-year-old, who is also on the radar of Everton and West Ham.

Other clubs in Europe, including Club Brugge and Ajax, are also fans of Fernandez and will explore the possibility of signing him.

While the player recently revealed that he was happy with life at Ibrox, he could have his head turned if the right club makes an approach.

Will Fernandez actually leave Ibrox this summer?

When the Gers signed Fernandez, it seemed highly unlikely that there would be such clamour for his services a year later.

He joined as a relative unknown from Peterborough United, but has since taken the league by storm.

Danny Rohl wants the defender to stay, and so far, there is nothing from either camp suggesting a move is being angled for.

How long will Danny Rohl be at Rangers?

However, the transfer window can be extremely unpredictable, and other clubs’ failure to land their primary targets could see them turn to Fernandez.

At that stage, it will be extremely difficult for Rangers to decide, as the centre-back may ask to leave.

There is also a chance that the Nigerian will not be worth as much as he will be in the coming months.

It gives the club a unique opportunity to cash in, and in case there are no other big-money sales, his exit could most certainly happen.
