Rangers and Celtic have both been urged to take a six-figure gamble on Thomas Robert by the player’s agent, Paul Tait [Daily Record].
The Gers were first linked with Robert in May [Chronicle Live] but he surprisingly moved to SPFL League One outfit Airdrieonians from Montpellier just a few months later.

Links have resurfaced recently, though, with the Hoops, Hibernian and Hearts amongst those now also credited with interest [Scottish Sun].
Airdrie manager Ian Murray is confident that the versatile 20-year-old, who is capable of playing in midfield, on the wing or up front, will stay put until the summer [Daily Record].
However, Tait is urging the Old Firm not to waste any time before swooping for his player, given his potential.
“Rangers and Celtic have been watching him because I believe they don’t want to miss out before the English clubs swoop in,” he said [Daily Record]. “Thomas is worth a gamble for a few hundred thousand because when he goes to the next level we will be talking millions.”
“There is a lot of interest and we are waiting to see what comes up for him.
“Ourselves and Airdrie are preparing for an offer before the end of the month with a few clubs already in contact. We will speak to Thomas, we will speak to Airdrie, and see what the right kind of offer would be.”

Robert is still raw but he’s shown across his 13 appearances for Airdrie this season that he has potential.
Given the standard of current playing group at Ibrox, it’s highly unlikely that he’d challenge for a place first-team place straight away if he signed this month, but he could continue his development with the B team or even be loaned back out to Airdrie.
Four goals and two assists is a decent return from his opening months in Scottish football, but while his agent has predictably talked him up, it’s as yet unclear whether or not Rangers have seen enough to make a cash offer for the young Frenchman this month.
Robert isn’t the only available Rangers-linked player out there, though, with Everton reportedly looking to offload an experienced international whose situation the Gers were said to be monitoring as recently as October.
