Rangers may have an opportunity to snap up Mo Besic this month, with Everton reportedly keen to offload the midfielder [Liverpool Echo].
Besic was linked with a loan switch to Ibrox just as the extended summer transfer window was coming to an end in October [Glasgow Times].

Steven Gerrard responded to the rumours at the time but while he rubbished claims that the player had travelled to Glasgow for a late medical, he didn’t deny interest [Glasgow Live].
The Gers subsequently brought in Bongani Zungu on loan from Amiens and at that stage, they looked well stocked in midfield.
However, with Ryan Jack and Scott Arfield currently out injured, the Light Blues suddenly look a little light in that area.
Should Gerrard decide to dip into the market for cover, it seems as though Besic would be a viable option.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Everton are ‘focused’ on moving on several fringe players this month, with the Bosnia and Herzegovina international and Yannick Bolasie two of those deemed to be surplus to requirements.
Besic moved to Goodison Park from Ferencváros in 2014 but has only played 56 times for the Toffees in all competitions, spending the last two seasons out on loan at Middlesbrough and Sheffield United respectively.

The 28-year-old is a tough-tackling defensive midfielder who rarely ventures forward, scoring just five times in his senior career.
With his contract expiring in the summer, it’s likely that he’d be available on a cut-price deal, but if the Gers are prepared to be patient, a pre-contract arrangement could be another option.
Besic isn’t the only player Rangers are currently interested in, though, with an exciting 20-year-old Frenchman also said to be on the club’s radar.
