Airdrieonians manager Ian Murray has provided a transfer update on in-demand Rangers linked starlet Thomas Robert [Daily Record].
Rangers are reportedly keen on Robert, but Celtic, Hibernian and Hearts have all also been linked [Scottish Sun] and Dundee United are now said to have entered the race for his signature [Daily Record].

Responding to the reported interest, the 20-year-old recently stated that it would be ‘a dream’ for him to one day secure a move to Rangers, Celtic or an English Premier League club [Daily Record via the Daily Mail].
However, his manager doesn’t expect such a transfer to happen during the current window.
“I’m pretty confident [he will stay],” said Murray [Daily Record]. “There’s a lot of publicity around Thomas, he’s done really well, but he’s only played about 12 or 13 games or something like that.”
“He still needs to play more games and he’s playing at Airdrie, so I don’t see any reason why Thomas would want to leave at this stage, and I’m not sure that teams will take such a gamble on 13 games.
“There’s no question about it, he’s a talented player, and he has done really well.”

It sounds as though any Rangers fans who were hoping that Robert would be snapped up this month may end up disappointed.
Yet, a move hasn’t been totally ruled out and it is possible that one of the interested parties could buy the young Frenchman before immediately loaning him back to Airdrie in order to ensure he plays regularly and builds up experience across the second half of the campaign.
Robert is capable of playing in midfield, on the wing, or up front and has four goals and a pair of assists to show for his 13 appearances in all competitions this season.
In other transfer news, Rangers fans have rejoiced after a positive update on the future of a highly-rated Scotland U21 international.
