Rangers have a busy summer transfer window ahead as a number of areas in the squad need to be addressed.
Quite a few defenders will be leaving the club, making it imperative for the Light Blues to address that area of the pitch.
Nasser Djiga’s return to Wolves and John Souttar’s poor form have led to a new centre-back being a priority in the coming months.

Danilho Doehki now available on a free transfer
Danilho Doehki has been linked with Rangers since 2022, and most recently was mentioned in 2024 as well, before he signed a new contract at Union Berlin.
After spending four years at the German club, the centre-back will be leaving this summer once his contract expires, making him a free agent.
The Dutch defender has been consistent at the heart of the Union defence, but wants a new challenge ahead of next season.

According to Fabrizio Romano, he has already been approached by several clubs, with a decision still to be made on his future.
The 27-year-old is highly rated by a lot of clubs in Europe, who have kept close tabs on him after an incredible campaign in the Bundesliga.
He has even been likened to Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk by the league’s official website for his calm demeanour.

Do Rangers have a shot at signing Doehki?
A few years ago, Doehki revealed that he was flattered by the links to Ibrox, so he certainly was aware of the Gers’ interest in securing his services.
However, plenty of time has passed by since, and he will now potentially have a different kind of challenge in mind.
There is interest from the Premier League, most notably Leeds United, who may have a better shot at signing him than Rangers.
While the 49ers Enterprises connections could facilitate an easier deal, Doehki would surely fancy a move to England’s top flight given the exposure that comes with it.
He also wants to make his debut for the Netherlands national team, and his chances will improve exponentially if he does well in the Premier League.
While Rangers could give it a go, it is unlikely that they will succeed in signing him.
