Prolific Rangers B goalscorer Chris McKee has secured an Ibrox loan exit in a bid to prove his quality at senior level.
The Rangers Youth Academy Twitter account confirmed on Saturday that the 18-year-old striker has joined SPFL League Two club Brechin City until the end of the season.

Northern Ireland youth international, McKee, enjoyed a superb first half of the season and by late November he had netted 8 times for the B team, more than double the number scored by any other player.
He’s been out of action for several months as Academy fixtures were suspended following their winter break, but now a first opportunity in the SPFL beckons.
“Chris is a promising young talent who has a real eye for goal,” said Brechin City boss Michael Paton [Brechincity.com]. “He’s exactly what we are looking for upfront – he will bring a lot of energy and quality.”
“There was a lot of interest in Chris and we’re delighted that he decided that Brechin City was a place to come and progress his career and it’ll help us improve our league position. I’m excited to see Chris in a City top and we’re looking forward to having him on board.”
McKee wasn’t the only promising Academy player to head out on loan on Saturday, either.
Right-back Adam Devine joined League One club Partick Thistle, while fellow defender Kyle McClelland will also finish the season in League One with Falkirk.
After Rangers were crowned Premiership champions on Sunday afternoon, the club released a special Champions shirt and James Tavernier paid tribute to the club’s supporters.
