Whenever a new manager arrives at a club, the first thing that fans and the media does is look at the players that they might bring with them and Rangers fans will be no different with Kevin Muscat.
It’s an obvious direction for thoughts to turn, especially given the success that Celtic have had with players from the Asian market and Japan in particular.
Rangers have a shortlist of a few names and Kevin Muscat is one of them, but could he bring the prolific Anderson Lopes with him if he gets the job?

Rangers could have edge in Anderson Lopes transfer decision
The Brazilian striker has been on fire this season hitting 20 goals in 33 games for Yokohama F Marinos.
At just under 6ft tall, the 30-year old is powerfully built and, as seen from the obligatory YouTube clip, can score all types of goals.
Basically Rangers hoped that Cyriel Dessers was going to be the player that Anderson Lopes already is.
The similarity with Alfredo Morelos can’t be unseen either when you watch how the Brazilian plays.
With Kemar Roofe out of contract in the summer, there is a decision to make for next season and beyond.

In Anderson Lopes, the Light Blues could sign his replacement, for free, in January.
Should Rangers appoint Kevin Muscat as their next manager, there is every chance that he might return to a market he is familiar with, especially if there is a player that he knows he can trust.
He might not be the ideal age in terms o a player trading model but on a free transfer he would be almost no risk.
Unlike the reported £7.5m spent on Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers by Michael Beale.
