West Ham do appear to be popping up a lot when it comes to Rangers as of late and the Premier League outfit have been mentioned alongside reported Gers target Sam Johnstone.
Ex-Man United kid and West Bromwich Albion stopper is reportedly hot property as his contract ticks down at the Hawthorns ahead of the summer.

Rangers have been linked to a host of goalkeepers as the current contract of veteran stopper Allan McGregor runs down with fans unsure regarding a new deal.
Allan McGregor is a bonafide Rangers legend – and proved so again with a stunning penalty save in the 3-0 win over Red Star Belgrade – but he has not been without his critics this season.
Sam Johnstone, who has excelled at Championship level with the Baggies and has three caps for England, is a cost-effective and talented option who has been routinely linked with the Gers.
Rangers-linked Sam Johnstone close to West Ham move
Rangers were not however named alongside the keeper in a report in the Sun who claim that talks with West Ham are a “long way down the line” when it comes to Johnstone.
However, there is plenty of competition when it comes to Sam Johnstone with former club Man United said to be mulling over a move if Dean Henderson leaves in the summer.
And if the Red Devils don’t tempt the talented England goalie then the Sun also claim that Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton are also interested.

There appear plenty of options and we reckon that whilst those early reports might’ve been encouraging, signing Sam Johnstone may just be beyond Rangers now.
The attention will then turn on to who the club do look to sign should Allan McGregor move on with Jon McLaughlin patiently waiting in the wings for a run in the first team.
Reports that Rangers have offered a contract to a leading goalkeeper said to be a target have also been rubbished in the media.
