Rangers are reportedly tailing young Serbian striker Petar Ratkov with Belgian club Anderlecht and Italian side Parma also in the hunt.
The 19-year-old striker currently turns out for TSC Bačka Topola in his homeland and has already made 63 appearances for the club’s top team, scoring nine goals.

A Serbian U21 international, Rangers have been linked by Football Insider, who claim the Ibrox side are assessing the forward but that there has been no official enquiry or offer as things stand.
The report also comes amid claims that both Anderlecht and Parma had offers for the striker rejected in January with the forward netting six times this season.
Described as a mobile target man type forward, there have been comparisons to legendary Croatian striker Mario Mandzukic of Bayern Munich and Juventus fame.
Petar Ratkov linked to Rangers
The links come at a very interesting time for Rangers, with some doubt about the striker position at Ibrox heading into the summer transfer window.
First choice Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos is out of contract come the end of the campaign whilst Kemar Roofe has to prove he can stay consistently fit for the club.
Rangers manager Michael Beale has also confirmed that the club are on the hunt for a new striker as Petar Ratkov becomes the latest name linked to Ibrox.
“I’d like to bring another No 9 into the building that is different to what we’ve got,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].
“My eyes are on that and I’ve got my target but he’s probably not available right now. He will be in the summer. I don’t want to give you names because everyone else might start liking him.
“I have my eye on a very specific name for the summer and hopefully we’ll be able to do that.”
But could the player Beale is talking about here be Josh Maja?
