Rangers have been linked with a summer move for Bordeaux striker Josh Maja amid suspicions around potential Ibrox interest following comments from Michael Beale.
Football Insider are claiming that Rangers are monitoring the 24-year-old striker alongside a number of targets, with the former Sunderland, Stoke and Fulham star out of contract in the summer.
This comes after earlier links to Josh Maja during the reign of Steven Gerrard and uncertainty over the striking position at Rangers.
Alfredo Morelos is out of contract at the end of the season whilst Kemar Roofe faces a fight to prove that he can be a consistent option for the side amid a run of injuries.

Rangers could certainly do worse that Josh Maja too; signed by Bordeaux in January 2019 following explosive form with Sunderland, the striker was once amongst the highest rated young forwards in England.
Things haven’t always worked out as planned in France however, with loan stints at Stoke City and Fulham breaking up the player’s stay on the continent.
This season however Josh Maja has been a different prospect, scoring 12 goals in all competitions with Bordeaux second in Ligue 2 and well in the promotion hunt.
Rangers boss Michael Beale also has a stellar reputation amongst young players south of the border and Josh Maja represents exactly the kind of project that fits the Ibrox manager.
English born with a stuttering career of sorts but loads of potential, Josh Maja ticks a lot of boxes for Rangers and the links come after Beale comments about having a target in mind.
“I’d like to bring another No 9 into the building that is different to what we’ve got,” said Michael Beale [Rangers].
“My eyes are on that and I’ve got my target but he’s probably not available right now. He will be in the summer. I don’t want to give you names because everyone else might start liking him.
“I have my eye on a very specific name for the summer and hopefully we’ll be able to do that.”
Meanwhile, Scott Wright has been linked with the Ibrox exit door.
