Rangers have been credited with an interest in Djurgardens winger Oskar Fallenius as they look to strengthen their attack this summer.
The Swede has been linked with a move to Ibrox, as the Light Blues look to bolster their attacking options following the departure of Mikey Moore, who has returned to Tottenham Hotspur after his loan spell came to an end.
With Moore back at Spurs, Rangers are in genuine need of creative reinforcements, and Fallenius has emerged as one of the names on their radar as Dan Purdy and the recruitment team continue to shape their summer plans.
The 24-year-old has been on the Gers’ radar for some time, with interest dating back to May 2025.
The winger is now in the final six months of his contract at Djurgardens, which leaves the Swedish club in a delicate position and gives interested parties significant leverage in any potential negotiations.

Fallenius opens up on Rangers interest and contract situation
Fallenius has now handed Danny Rohl‘s side a significant boost, admitting that it is hard for him to think about committing his future to Djurgardens, especially since they do not have a sporting director at the moment.
The Sweden Under-20s international explained that the absence of a sporting director at Djurgardens has made the situation harder to navigate, pointing out that it is difficult to plan when there is nobody in place to drive those conversations from the club’s side.
Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, he said: “I know I have an expiring contract, but we don’t have a sports director. So it’s hard to try to think about it. But we’ve played nine games, the summer is quite long, and it feels like quite a lot can happen in that time.”
Should Fallenius not extend his contract, Djurgardens risk losing him for free in December, unless they sell him for a cut-price fee this summer.
Asked who he expects to discuss his future with at the club, he revealed that he is relaxed about the situation.
He added, “Good question. It doesn’t feel like it’s something I should tackle; it should come from above, but I think it will when the time comes. I don’t stress.”
When asked specifically about interest from Rangers and Wolfsburg, Fallenius disclosed that he and his agents have made a deliberate decision to filter information, with the player only being informed when something concrete emerges.
However, he admitted that there is “certainly some interest” in him.
He said: “My agents and I have decided that I should only be told if there is anything concrete.
“I just need to think about chewing on it going forward, and whether it is here in Djurgarden or if it is abroad after the summer, I don’t know that yet.”

His comments do little to change that picture, but with his contract running down and the summer still long, the situation remains one worth monitoring closely.
If the Swede is being eyed as a direct replacement for Moore, it would not be the smartest of moves.
