After Rangers sold Nathan Patterson to Everton, a report had suggested the likes of Premier League Newcastle United could have Alfredo Morelos following him down south.
CBS Sports claimed that Newcastle United were topping the list of potential Alfie suitors with Leicester City and Everton also considering a £20m swoop.
But the report was shut down by Ibrox media partners Heart & Hand who claimed that there had been “zero notes of interest” from any clubs regarding the settled Bufalo.
Those claims now appear to have been solidified by one of the latest transfer reports in the Telegraph surrounding Newcastle United.

According to the Telegraph, Newcastle United are tailing Liverpool striker Divock Origi, Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke and Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah.
It’s worth noting that there’s been mention of Rangers star Alfredo Morelos alongside Newcastle United here given that the newspaper involved will have good connections across the UK.
It all suggests that Rangers can breathe a little easier when it comes to the Buffalo as fans gear up for the second half of the campaign.
Alfredo Morelos ended the first half of the season up to the winter break on fine form, scoring six goals and laying on another two since Giovanni van Bronckhorst came into the club.
