Mozzart Sport reports that Napoli have tabled a bid of €12 million (approximately £10.2 million) in an attempt to sign 2018 Rangers flop Umar Sadiq.
The 22-year-old forward is currently on loan at Partizan Belgrade, with the Serbian SuperLiga side holding an option to buy on the AS Roma man.

It’s suggested that with Fernando Llorente on the cusp of leaving and Arkadiusz Milik the club’s only other out-and-out striker, Napoli see Sadiq as a good option to strengthen their squad.
Verdict
If you told a Rangers fan this time last year that Sadiq would soon command an eight-figure transfer fee, you would have been laughed off, and for good reason.
The Nigerian forward cut his season-long loan spell short after only making one start and failing to score across several months in Glasgow.
However, since then, his fortunes in front of goal have improved dramatically.

So far this season, he’s netted 16 times and registered 12 assists in 30 appearances.
That’s a strong record in anyone’s books, and while Serbian league is hardly the pinnacle of the club game, he’s impressed against some strong opposition in the Europa League.
Having failed to make a genuine breakthrough with Roma despite spending many seasons at the club, it would be a big surprise if he came back to Italy and ripped it up in Serie A.
Yet, given his vast improvements this season, perhaps it would be unwise to write him off completely.
