Mixed messages regarding Rangers interest in Chelsea wonderkid Billy Gilmour continue as the latest report suggests the talented midfielder will not be moving to Ibrox.
Gilmour, 20, is expected to go out on loan this season after finding himself on the fringes of Thomas Tuchel’s talent-strewn Stamford Bridge midfield.

BBC Sport reported earlier in the week that Rangers were one of the clubs reportedly interested in Gilmour amongst a host of Premier League clubs.
Prominently, this includes Norwich, who have been extensively linked to the player with the suggestion being Chelsea would like to see Gilmour play in Daniel Farke’s system [Guardian].
Not only that, but the editor of the Norwich City official Twitter account suggested that the player’s next destination will be Carrow Road.
However, despite this, the Daily Record and Keith Jackson suggested that Rangers were interested in Gilmour and that his immediate Chelsea future hadn’t been determined.
That report claims any Gilmour loan could depend on the future of Mateo Kovacic, who has been linked with a return to Inter Milan [Daily Star].
Now, the Scottish Sun has moved quickly to rubbish the suggestion Gilmour could move to Ibrox with Chelsea hoping to keep him in the Premier League.

This latest report once again reiterates the apparent interest from Norwich City and Thomas Tuchel’s close relationship with Daniel Farke, alongside whom he worked at Borussia Dortmund.
Whilst there have been mixed messages regarding Rangers interest in Billy Gilmour, the same can very much be said of one player currently plying his trade at Ibrox.
