Michael Beale spoke towards the end of the season about already having Rangers transfer preparations under way – he wasn’t wrong.
Kieran Dowell signed a pre-contract deal before the season was finished and Dujon Sterling, Jack Butland and Sam Lammers have all been announced too.
It’s gone a little bit quiet recently, however, speaking to GiveMeSport, transfer journalist Dean Jones reckons that things could be about to pick up for Michael Beale and Rangers.

What is Michael Beale’s latest on the transfer front?
Offers for Luis Palma and Sam Dessers seem to have fallen short with Tasos Douvikas and Haji Wright having valuations out of our price range.
No new links have emerged other than Benie Traore but Jones has claimed that more arrivals could be imminent:
“Yeah, I mean the planning into this transfer window has been done over the past few months.
“We’ve seen news around Butland and Lammers all come through pretty fast.
“I’m told we should expect more news pretty quickly on other players that will be coming through the door. I don’t think they intend to wait around in the summer Rangers.
“They want to give Beale exactly what he wants and needs to get going quickly in the new season.”

Every Rangers fan knows that a new striker and a new winger remain a priority, especially if Dessers and Palma are no longer options, although there are contrasting reports for both players.
Given how much speculation there has been in the media, it would be a refreshing change to see one or two new faces emerge entirely from left-field.
Beale has spoken about a striker with pace, mobility and something different.
None of the players mentioned so far fit that bill.
Benie Traore comes close though and at £4m he would be in our price range.
If the board genuinely wants to give the Gers gaffer what he wants, the new signings Jones talks about shouldn’t be far away.
