As Rangers are linked with a move for Luis Palma, it raises something of a question around Morgan Whittaker.

The Ibrox side are gearing up for a summer of spending with cash to burn and Michael Beale talking up the prospect of up to five new stars.

Rangers fans have run out of patience with many of the club’s first teamers and the pressure on is on Ross Wilson to deliver in the transfer market.

One player who has reportedly piqued Rangers interest is Aris winger Luis Palma.

The 23-year-old attacker was apparently the subject of Rangers scouting reports over the weekend and links have intensified since.

But what does any interest in Luis Palma mean for those January reports linking Morgan Whittaker?

Swansea recalled Morgan Whittaker after an explosive first half of the season at Plymouth Argyle.

Rangers would then try their luck in January, with some reports of a £2m bid.

Whilst the figure involved was rebuffed by Michael Beale, it’s clear Rangers had one eye on the star with interest expected to resume in the summer.

We suppose that what happens with Luis Palma may depend on the future of Ryan Kent, who is yet to sign a new contract.

Rangers boss Beale wants to keep Kent around but perhaps the Aris left-winger is viewed as a natural replacement.

Morgan Whittaker on the other hand is a left-footed attacker who plays off the right, and maybe viewed as the perfect option alongside either Kent or Palma on the left.

Or perhaps with Rangers lacking competition and quality in these areas, the club is set to launch a move for both.

With several high profile positions needing filled, it would however be a surprise to plunge for both ahead of what promises to be an entertaining summer window.
