Rangers enjoyed a good, if not spectacular, transfer window with only the lack of another striker making it the latter, however, it looks as though Philippe Clement might have tried to pull off something of a coup.
It was no secret that the Gers boss needed reinforcements in his forward line after suffering a series of long-term injury issues in his squad.
Mohamed Diomande and Oscar Cortes might make their Rangers debuts against Livingston but Philippe Clement could also have had Adnan Januzaj to call on too according to The Rangers Review.

One the subject of a tug-of-war at international level between England and Belgium, the former Man Utd wonderkid was one of Old Trafford’s brightest hopes, one-upon-a–time.
The 28-year old maybe hasn’t hit the heights expected of him but 15-caps for the country of his birth, as well as spells at Borussia Dortmund and now Sevilla make for impressive reading.
Victor Orta, the La Liga outfit’s sporting director, has revealed that the attacking midfielder could have left Spain in the transfer window:
“What about Januzaj is a question that has to be asked of the player. We have received up to six offers from other clubs in Scotland, Turkey and France and we accepted two offers but the player was not willing to leave.
“I told him personally that it was good for the club that he left, but the player was not willing to leave. For him it is not a problem to have minutes to develop as a footballer and he accepts that he has a current contract. From there, the debate settled.
“We have always told him what the club’s idea was, which was that a player develops by playing and accumulating minutes. If he has another idea, that’s him.”
Only two clubs in Scotland could afford such a player but all the arrows point to a possible bid from Rangers and Philippe Clement.
For a start, he’s Belgian, do the maths.
Secondly, Celtic have about six wingers on their books whereas we had three before Oscar Cortes arrived, and all of them have question marks over their suitability.
For all that it might just have been a tentative enquiry, it shows what can happen in the transfer window.
I’d imagine that Januzaj isn’t the only player that we considered, had on a list or enquired about.
It’s not as simple as – why didn’t we sign x, y or z?
