Kilmarnock are plotting a move for a Rangers midfielder as Neil McCann looks to leverage his Ibrox connections once again.
McCann lured Findlay Curtis on loan to Rugby Park midway through last season, making use of his connections with the Light Blues.
The transfer paid dividends to all parties, with Curtis bagging five goals and an assist in 14 games for Kilmarnock in the second half of the season.
Fresh off the success of Curtis’ loan, the former Rangers attacker is keen to repeat the trick, but this time with another Gers player.
Now that Danny Rohl seems set to leave Rangers, how would you rate his time at the club?
Kilmarnock eye Bailey Rice loan as Rangers extension agreed
The player in question is Bailey Rice, who has been the subject of strong transfer interest throughout the summer.
Rice was due to leave Rangers as a free agent at the end of the month, amid interest from an array of clubs, including Schalke and Ajax.
However, the 19-year-old has now agreed to stay at Ibrox beyond the summer, according to Chris Jack, with a new deal set to be officially signed in the coming days.

The reliable journalist, reporting via the Rangers Review, noted that Kilmarnock are now eyeing a loan move for Rice.
Rangers, for their part, are open to the prospect of allowing the midfielder to leave on loan and gain first-team experience under his belt.
It remains to be seen if incoming head coach Derek McInnes has a different view on the matter.

Rice contract extension a statement of intent
Rice had the option of moving to England, Germany or the Netherlands, with Schalke and Ajax among the clubs interested.
However, Rangers have managed to convince him to commit his future to the Govan club, and that is such a huge statement of intent.
The Gers have seen top talent, including Billy Gilmour, slip through their fingers in recent years and cannot afford to do the same with the likes of Rice.
Losing the teenager on a free transfer would have been such a blow.
