Rangers-friendly journalist Chris Jack has appeared to confirm the club’s move for Heerenveen midfielder Joey Veerman.
Glasgow Times report Jack is widely considered to be a very reputable source on all things Rangers and has claimed the club could splash up to £7m on the 22-year-old Dutch playmaker.

This would be a sizeable move from Rangers and undoubtedly the club’s marquee deal of the transfer window thus far.
However, it would represent the first deal of the window which involved a transfer fee.
Rangers have already secured the full-time additions of Jack Simpson, Nnamdi Ofoborh, Fashion Sakala and John Lundstram, all on pre-contracts.
According to Chris Jack, Rangers hope to convince Heerenveen to part ways with the midfielder through the £7m package, with ex-Volendam star Veerman contracted until 2024.
Jack’s report also mentions Premier League interest in midfielder Glen Kamara although it remains unclear – and purely speculative – if the deals are linked.
The Glasgow Times report comes after Rangers were linked to Veerman by an apparently in the know poster on the popular Follow, Follow forum.
De Telegraaf in Holland then claimed that the Gers had launched a £3.8m (€4.5m) bid for the player, with Serie A side Hellas Verona stumping up €1m more.
Should the deal go through this would also represent the biggest outlay at Rangers since the signing of Liverpool winger Ryan Kent who signed for £7m in 2019 [Times].

Kent, 24, has gone on to cement himself as a talismanic presence at Ibrox who – quite simply – terrorises and terrifies our only title rival in the division in Celtic.
A move for Veerman is certainly endorsed by the Ibrox faithful who’re very excited at the prospect of signing the Dutch midfielder.
