Rangers fans are nudging the club’s recruitment team in the direction of Dundee United midfielder Jeando Fuchs after yet another impressive performance against Celtic at the weekend.

Very much a Glen Kamara-type midfielder, Cameroonian international Fuchs is an all-action, energetic midfield presence who retrieves the ball and brings composure in possession to midfield.

Whilst links to any on-form Scottish Premiership talent are generally ten-a-penny when it comes to the Old Firm, Rangers could certainly do worse than monitor the midfielder’s situation.

After all, Fuchs’ contract at Tannadice expires come the end of the season and at 23, there is still certainly plenty of room for the midfielder to develop.

Signed back in October 2020 on a two-year deal, in the second year, the player has settled in Scotland and looks like a smart acquisition for United.

Rangers have previous for plucking intelligent, possession-based midfielders from the City of Discovery with Glen coming from Dundee in January 2019.

Since then the midfielder has gone on to become one of the Ibrox club’s leading players and a major asset whom the Gers have just signed down to 2025 [Rangers].

Whilst that agreement protects Rangers’ interests, it’s well-known that the Finnish international is being monitored down south and if the right bid lands, Kamara, 25, will be Premier League bound

Jeando Fuchs has international experience and had spells in France and Spain

Jeando Fuchs could be the perfect player to follow that increasingly well-travelled path between Dundee and Glasgow and continue his own development at Ibrox.

The midfielder also has decent pedigree; Fuchs has two caps for Cameroon, played extensively in Ligue 2 for Sochaux and even had a spell with La Liga club Alaves, though he never played competitively.

The Cameroonian clearly has something about him and even spent last season on loan in Israel with Maccabi Haifa.

It appears Dundee United have unearthed a gem in the midfielder and Rangers fans are encouraging the Ibrox club to take notice with Fuchs’ contract running down in Dundee:

Rangers’ recruitment team are sure to be considering a range of players ahead of next season and perhaps Fuchs is one such talent the club is monitoring.

Fuchs isn’t the only midfielder who has caught the eye of Rangers fans this season either as one player plying his trade at Tynecastle earns rave reviews.
