Ianis Hagi insists that he’s never told Rangers he wants to leave as his contract ticks down at Ibrox.
Hagi shut down exit reports heading into the weekend’s 2-2 Scottish Premiership with Aberdeen amid suggestions that the Romanian had signalled his intentions to Rangers come the end of the season.
But whilst Ianis Hagi remains open to discussions at Rangers, the player’s agent is reportedly in negotiations with two leading Bundesliga clubs.

Ianis Hagi’s agent in talks with Bundesliga clubs
Ianis Hagi is an in-demand player this summer as his contract ticks down at Ibrox.
That’s the view of former Romanian international striker Adrian Ilie, who has been speaking about the 26-year-old’s current situation in Glasgow.
Whilst Ilie has learned that Rangers remain an option for Hagi, the former Valencia hitman reckons Hagi looks increasingly likely to leave Ibrox.
Ilie has also claimed that Hagi’s representatives are in negotiations with Bundesliga clubs Borussia Monchengladbach and Hoffenheim.
“I spoke to Ianis Hagi’s agent and I know there have been talks that he can continue to stay in Glasgow, but I definitely think he will leave,” said Ilie, as quoted by the Scottish Sun.
“Other offers will come for him and the agent has spoken to several clubs. There are two teams interested in the Bundesliga, especially since he is leaving for free.
“It’s Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach. There have already been discussions. He is an interesting player, he has very good quality and no money is paid for a transfer fee.
“There was also talk about Turkey and Fenerbahce at one point, but they are looking for a different level of players. Much better. They are paying a lot for that right now in Turkey.”
Ianis Hagi makes Rangers stance ‘totally clear’
The comments of Adrian Ilie come after Ianis Hagi reaffirmed his love of Rangers following that pulsating 2-2 draw with Aberdeen.
Hagi came off the bench to curl in a stunning last-minute equaliser and send a reminder to Rangers about his qualities.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Hagi suggested he’s open to discussions with Rangers and made it ‘totally clear’ how he feels about the club.
”I understand from my perspective because obviously my future is up in the air with the contract counting down to the end of the season,” Hagi told Sky Sports.
”I totally understand but what I cannot accept things that are put, words that I haven’t said ever and I just wanted to make that clear.
“Because I never said I wanted to leave Rangers and I just wanted to make that clear. You know how happy I am and how much I love this football club and I’ll do anything for this football club.”
