Rangers face a major Ianis Hagi dilemma as Celta Vigo reportedly prowl and the Ibrox side look to finance a deal for Bayern loanee Malik Tillman.

Romanian playmaker Ianis Hagi, 24, is coming off the back of a year out of the game following a devastating cruciate ligament injury sustained via an innocuous challenge against Stirling Albion last year.

Now back in the Ibrox squad and using brief cameos to build back up his fitness, Ianis Hagi also signed a new Rangers contract earlier in the year after successfully coming through his rehab.

It puts Rangers in a strong position with the Romanian international who is still some distance away from recapturing his best form in an Ibrox jersey.

But now Es Del Marque are claiming that Ianis Hagi has been recommend to Celta Vigo by PSG executive Luis Campo with the situation presenting a dilemma to Ibrox bosses.

Rangers can work with Ianis Hagi to get him back up the desired level of match fitness so that he can have an impact but with massive pressure on everyone at Ibrox the situation represents a risk.

Ianis Hagi isn’t even in the Romania squad at present with something of a storm developing around a recent exclusion which ultimately came down to the player’s fitness.

Rangers are also looking at ways to fund what is likely to be a summer of substantial expenditure and that includes Bayern loanee Malik Tillman, who plays in the same position as Ianis Hagi.

Whilst some reports have claimed it will take £5m for Rangers to sign the Bayern Loanee permanently, German reports suggest there is still negotiating to be done in the Malik Tillman deal.

If Rangers can recoup £3m from Celta Vigo for Ianis Hagi – subsequently the price they initially paid for the player and the valuation touted in the media – then this may go some way to financing a deal for USA international Tillman.

After all, only one of the two players is actively contributing to the first team at present.
