Rangers could lock horns with one of their former players in the coming weeks as he appears set to join a Scottish Premiership side.
Danny Rohl’s side are in a title race and currently sit five points behind league leaders Hearts.
Rangers dropped two points against Motherwell on Wednesday as they played out a 1-1 draw.

Barrie McKay set to make Scottish Premiership return on short-term deal
According to the Daily Record, former Rangers winger Barrie McKay is set to make his return to the Scottish Premiership.
The 31-year-old is available on a free transfer after he left Hearts in June, and has not signed for another club since then.
However, with clubs still eligible to sign players out of contract, Livingston are willing to take a punt on McKay.
He is closing in on a move to the bottom-placed Scottish Premiership side to give them the best chance of avoiding relegation this season.
Manager Marvin Bartley is a fan of the former Gers attacker, who has also been capped by Scotland in 2016.
McKay has already been training with the SPFL outfit this week, and Bartley seems to be impressed with what he has seen behind the scenes.

How was Barrie Mckay’s career at Rangers?
McKay came up the ranks at Kilmarnock, but moved to Rangers before he made his senior debut.
At Ibrox, he spent a year with the youth side before making his first-team debut in March 2012.
He also etched himself into the club’s history books by scoring their first goal in the Scottish Third Division.
The winger then spent two years on loan at Greenock Morton and Raith Rovers, before becoming a first-team regular under Mark Warburton.

In total, he made 140 appearances for the first team and found the back of the net on 20 occasions, providing 39 assists as well.
The travelling Gers fans are likely to give him a warm reception as they will be in the away end for the game against Livingston on 22 February.
It will be interesting to see what kind of impact he has and whether he can help Livingston pull off a great escape.
