Former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty is now a free agent after turning down a contract extension at Kilmarnock [Kilmarnockfc.co.uk].
Lafferty signed a short-term deal at Rugby Park in February following a stint in Italy with Reggina and was tasked with scoring goals to try to keep Killie in the Premiership.

He held up his end of the bargain, netting a remarkable 13 times in 13 appearances across the league and Scottish Cup.
However, the Ayrshire club still came second bottom and were then relegated after a playoff defeat to Dundee.
Killie offered the Northern Ireland international the opportunity to stay on but it was confirmed on Friday that he had rejected the extension offer and as a result is now a free agent.
Fellow former Rangers player Kirk Broadfoot’s second stint at Killie is also over, with the 36-year-old joining Lafferty, Greg Kiltie and Mitch Pinnock in heading for the exit.
However, ex-Ibrox winger Chris Burke could stay on to play in the Championship next season, as negotiations continue over a potential new deal.
Killie will be aiming to bounce straight back to the top flight next season, but manager Tommy Wright has a major rebuild on his hands, given that 14 other players had already left the club prior to this update.
In other news, Rangers are reportedly locked in a bidding war with four other clubs for the fastest player in a European top-flight league.
