Five English Championship clubs are keen to snap up former Rangers winger Jordan Jones this month, according to TEAMtalk.
Jones joined the Gers from Kilmarnock in 2019 and spent two years at Ibrox, although the final six months of his stint were seen out on loan at Sunderland.
When he first joined, there was hope that with his pace and trickery, he’d be a real asset for the Gers.
Yet, he never really got going, with poor choices on and off the field and injuries all harming his chances of success.

However, he soon slipped down the pecking order and he’s only featured in one of the Latics’ last nine league fixtures.
It’s fair to say that things aren’t really going to plan for the Northern Ireland international, but he could soon make an escape.
Championship clubs queuing up for ex-Rangers winger
That’s because TEAMtalk reports that as many as five Championship clubs are keen on signing Jones this month.
Derby County are said to be leading the race, although it’s asserted that any deal hangs on Mike Ashley’s prospective takeover going through.
Barnsley, Luton Town, Reading and Blackpool are all also credited with interest.
After a promising start, Jones’ time at Wigan quickly turned into a nightmare and it’s likely that he’d consider either a permanent or temporary exit this month.
It’s interesting that despite his lack of recent playing time he looks set to get a chance to jump up a division, but although Derby are the current favourites, it would seem a strange move to join a club who’re likely to be relegated despite strong form in recent weeks.
Of the clubs linked with Jones, 12th-placed Blackpool are currently highest in the Championship.
