Leading transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Rangers-linked Xavi Simons will pen a new deal with PSG.
The 19-year-old playmaker has been a bit-part player for the Ligue 1 side this season and as his contract ticked down in France there were murmurs of Rangers interest.
This originated from reports in January, which had Rangers fans scouring the internet for YouTube videos of what the youngster could offer.
The claims were suspiciously ambitious given Xavi Simons’ standing in the game, the youngster considered amongst the brightest talents in Europe.
But given the Ibrox side’s Dutch coaching contingent there was a flicker of hope that any prospective Rangers interest could be true.
