Philippe Clement isn’t the type of manager to talk about what players he is after for Rangers or shows any interest in speculation.
The Gers boss is adamant that more will be brought in and that his squad needs to be strengthened.
Despite not talking about who may or may not be arriving at Ibrox, Philippe Clement has been backed by none other than Fabrizio Romano to get more bodies through the door.

So far, only Fabio Silva has been announced with Mohamed Diomande said to be close to putting pen to paper.
Plenty of players like Gijs Smal have been linked – and ruled out – but the obvious lack of speculation surrounding wingers and forwards is a source of frustration for fans.
Speaking to GiveMeSport, transfer guru Romano has given some words of encouragement and suggested that Clement could have new players in the coming days.
“I think Rangers will look at some opportunities. They are working on some names, so, obviously, now it’s time to enter into concrete stages of negotiations.
“I expect them to try to make something happen in the window’s final days.”
With left than a week to go, Philippe Clement and Nils Koppen will be busy for Rangers if they are going to bring in the reinforcements needed to make a sustained title challenge.
It can only be hoped that, as in the case of Diomande, the board are backing the manager with the resources that he needs but keeping the names on a need-to-know basis.
It’s not just that Rangers have injuries to contend with, Philippe Clement has arguably lost his best three goalscorers in Danilo, Kemar Roofe and Abdallah SIma.
Gambling on Cyriel Dessers and Fabio Silva to be fit for the next five months isn’t an option.

Hopefully, Romano, as he usually is, is right and that the players Clement needs arrive before the clock strikes 1130pm on the 31st.
