Ex-Rangers star Ryan Kent could be primed to fill the boots of Fenerbahce wonderkid Arda Guler after his surprise switch to the Turkish Super Lig.
The former Ibrox winger, 26, announced the move to Istanbul earlier in this week following his release at the end of his four-year Rangers contract.

The move brought to an end a total of five years at Rangers, where Ryan Kent mesmerised at times but more often frustrated as the club’s brief domestic dominance was meekly surrendered.
Also an influential player in the club’s unbelievable run to the Europa League Final, Rangers are losing a top talent in Ryan Kent but also someone who too often flattered to deceive.
But as the winger settles into life at Fenerbahce, there is news that one of the attacker’s new teammates in Arda Guler could be set to leave the club amid interest from around Europe.
Ryan Kent to replace Arda Guler at Fenerbahce?
Fenerbahce number 10 Arda Guler might only be 18, but transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has been tweeting this week that the Turkish talent is attracting interest from “many top clubs”.
Moreover, Arda Guler is available for only £15m (€17.5m) due to a release clause in his contract and after a stellar season in Turkey could already be on the move.
Playing 35 times for Fenerbahce last season, Arda Guler managed an impressive return of six goals and seven assists and he looks set to be the next big thing to come out of Turkey.
As the young attacking midfielder potentially prepares to move out of Fenerbahce, Ryan Kent is moving in, and the ex-Rangers winger could be the man expected to replace’s the teenager’s influence.
Whilst Ryan Kent has traditionally been a left-winger in his career, Rangers manager Michael Beale often employed the attacker as a number 10 and that’s the position Arda Guler plays at Fenerbahce.
