Danny Rohl has confirmed that plans to bring in new players at Rangers this summer are already underway.

Rangers are eyeing transfer reinforcements to ensure that they win the Scottish Premiership title in the 2026/27 season.

Even this term, Rohl’s side have a shot at glory as they are just three points behind the league leaders Hearts on the Scottish Premiership table.

Danny Rohl plans to sit down with Jim Gillespie and team to discuss transfer plans

Rohl has stated that he plans to sit down with Jim Gillespie and the rest of the recruitment team, including Gretar Steinsson, Stig Inge Bjornebye and Dan Purdy, to discuss summer transfers.

According to the Daily Record, three transfer targets have already emerged as the Rangers boss has made it clear which players he wants to sign.

The three transfer targets that have been named are Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Pierce Charles, Dundee centre-back Luke Graham and Sheffield United forward Tyrese Campbell.

Charles will be available to Rangers on a bargain transfer, and that will be good news for Rohl, as they shared a good working relationship at Hillsborough.

Purdy has made checks in person on Graham, as a summer move to Ibrox could be on the cards for him.

Discussing this, Rohl said: “I have time with the board to speak about the plans for summer as well, Jim, Gretar, Stig, Dan. There are a lot of benefits from such a time. In general, I don’t speak about names.

“We have regular meetings every week, to sit together and watch players, different profiles. In January we made a good window, but it was still in the beginning.

“Now we have the experience from January, we know what we need in the summer. There are also a lot of things to prepare, players are in the World Cup, we have loan players, we have maybe an early qualifying game, maybe not, it depends on us.”

If YOU were to change one thing about his management style for next season, what would it be? 🤔

How many signings are Rangers expected to make?

Rangers currently have a number of players on loan, but among them, Mikey Moore and Nasser Djiga are the ones Rohl would surely want at Ibrox next season.

The jury is still out on Andreas Skov Olsen and he will use the next seven games to make his case for the Gers to sign him permanently.

Based on how many loan players return, the club will then reassess how many new signings are required.

A new right-back, centre-back, striker, goalkeeper and potentially two new wingers are what Rohl is expected to target.

Unexpected exits would mean Rangers entering the market to sign replacements, but if all the players the German wants at the club end up staying, there could be six to seven new signings.
