Lewis Stewart could seal Rangers exit in the summer
According to the Daily Record, Stewart could leave Rangers in the summer if he does not sign a new deal at Ibrox.
His current contract runs out at the end of the season and he is no closer to signing an extension.
Clubs in the Premier League are keeping tabs on him, so a move south of the border is on the cards for the 18-year-old.
There have even been scouts from top sides watching him play for Alloa Athletic, as he is on loan there until the end of the season.
Apart from England, clubs in Scotland are also admirers of the teenager and could look to sign him on a free transfer.
The Gers tied him down to a three-year contract back in 2023, and have not yet decided whether or not they want to push to keep him at the club.

The pros and cons of keeping Stewart at Ibrox
Stewart has been a regular starter at Alloa Athletic and would want to continue playing regularly wherever he is next season.
At Rangers, he will not be guaranteed minutes and unless the Gers guarantee him game time or a clear pathway to first-team football, he would consider leaving and potentially drawing more money in the Premier League.
The pros to keeping him would be that he would be an academy prospect that is highly rated by the fans and they would be more patient with him as he breaks through.
He would also count as a homegrown player and there would be a lower financial risk involved.
Rangers could sell him for more money in the future and all of it would count towards pure profit as he has come up the ranks.
On the other hand, the cons are that he’s unproven at the Premiership level and may not have what it takes to become a first-team regular at Ibrox.
He may not himself be committed to the project at Rangers and may fancy playing football south of the border.
The Light Blues also would have to commit to higher wages if they are to fend off interest from Premier League clubs, so it may be beneficial if they let him go.
