Rangers have flown out to the Netherlands with an almost fully fit squad as Philippe Clement looks to get off to a good start in 2024/25.
The manager will still be keen to add more new signings of an experienced nature but there is a distinct feeling that players will have to be sold first before any additions can be made.
One player seen in all the training footage is Cyriel Dessers, who seems certain to leave Rangers this summer.

Cyriel Dessers not short of admirers as Rangers look to cash in
The Rangers number nine has been linked with a move away from the club with reports in Greece suggesting that the 29-year old has even handed in a transfer request.
If he wants to leave, he hasn’t been showing it in the training camp with footage showing Dessers looking sharper than he did for much of last season.
This time last year he was still recovering from injury, so it is a bonus that he is fully fit – if he is going to be leading the line in the Champions League qualifiers that is.
There has been an update on the Nigeria international’s future from Heart and Hand though after they confirmed that Rangers are looking to recoup the £4.5m that was paid to Cremonese last year via the Daily Update for the 8th of July:
“Reports are coming in from Holland that Cyriel Dessers is attracting interest from several Eredivisie clubs.
“Rangers looking for round about £4.5m for the player, he did go, of course to the Rangers training trip abroad.
“That will be the case until bids come in and they are accepted.
“There is also interest from Serie A as well as France and Spain and, according to reports in Holland, he also has interest from the Saudi league.
“So, there may be a number of options put to Cyriel Dessers over the next couple of weeks.
“Given the number of clubs noting an interest in the player, I don’t think it will be too difficult to get that fee in.”
Cyriel Dessers could pave the way for new Rangers arrival
Of all the players rumoured to be leaving Ibrox, Dessers is the one attracting most interest.
Sam Lammers is said to have a few Dutch clubs monitoring his situation, but Dessers form in the last campaign has obviously impressed clubs throughout Europe.
Something that will only improve Rangers chances of securing the fee they want, if anything, Nils Koppen might even be able to negotiate a profit.
As one of three strikers, Dessers will be more than capable of contributing but it seems like he is intent on being the main man.
With Danilo and Hamza Igamane in the squad, Clement will be comfortable going into the market for a third striker should an acceptable offer land on Koppen’s desk.
One that is looking increasingly likely to be made.
