Scott Booth has spoken out about the possibility of Graeme Shinnie moving to Rangers, as quoted by the Evening Times.
The former Aberdeen striker is the current coach of SWPL 1 club, Glasgow City.

He believes that if his old club are to compete for silverware next season, retaining their captain is vital.
However, despite Shinnie’s contract expiring this summer, he doesn’t believe an extension is out of the question.
In fact, he sees several reasons why the option to stay, may win out in the end.
“It’s a difficult decision for Graeme”, admitted Booth, as quoted by the Evening Times.
“The Aberdeen-Rangers rivalry was intense back then (in his playing days) and of course, it still is. It takes a lot of character for a player to move from Aberdeen to Rangers or Celtic and that’s because they know their life won’t be easy, it won’t be so smooth, especially if they come from the Aberdeen area.”

“For me, Aberdeen are going in a different direction (now). The new stadium is coming, a new training ground as well. The club is taking a step up. These things can help keep players but I’m unsure what Graeme will do.”
It’s true that those plans are a sign of ambition from the Dons.
If facilities were a decisive factor, though, surely Shinnie would still opt for the Gers. After all, Ibrox will still be over double the size of Aberdeen’s new stadium.
You’d think it’d take more than the promise of shiny new ground a few years down the line, to keep him at the club this summer.
Yet, Rangers aren’t the only club looking to add steel to their midfield. According to a report in the Daily Express, Luton Town are frontrunners for his signature.
