Alfredo Morelos gets off the beach to train but boots aren’t on yet

Alfredo Morelos blew his chances of breaking Rangers pay structure last season when his attitude to fitness saw him suspended by Giovanni van Bronkhorst.

After returning from injury, he had been expected to play a key role in firing the Light Blues to the Champions League but was instead left at home in a gutsy call by the former gaffer.

One thing Alfredo Morelos has never been is a natural athlete but it would appear as if a lack of offers since leaving Rangers has seen him take drastic action and head to the gym.

El Bufalo is 27-years old and should be in his peak, however, he has just come off the back of his worst season since he was a teenager.

He looked out of shape and out of sorts which isn’t a good look when trying to attract attention from big teams.

With a disciplinary record that is far from impressive and a weekly wage demand that would be more than the £33,000 per week he was on at Rangers, it’s now wonder he is still without a club.

Most of the Rangers players were seen training with various personal trainers when they were on holiday, Alfredo Morelos has been on an extended break since leaving the club.

Wanting to stay in Europe is fine, there probably will be clubs who will take a gamble on him for free.

The biggest issue is that every club is back in full training and playing games.

Morelos looked rusty when he was playing and training week in, week out last season, doing step ups and box jumps won’t help his cause.
