Gers boss Steven Gerrard has blasted French club Bordeaux’s approach for striker Alfredo Morelos.
As reported by the Daily Mail on Thursday, Bordeaux tabled a £3.75 million bid for the Colombian.
Following their sale of Malcom to Barcelona, the Europa League side have cash to burn and want to replace the Brazilian.

Rangers striker Morelos has started off the season well at Ibrox, scoring three goals already so far.
He picked up a red card in the opening Scottish Premiership game with Aberdeen, but that was later rescinded.

Gerrard responds
Gerrard has now addressed the French side’s offer – and he isn’t too pleased.
He said, as quoted by the Scottish Sun: “Teams can’t just knock our door and think they can pinch our players with derisory bids.

“If they want the player they need to show us some respect and blow us out the water with a massive, massive bid.
“If not don’t pick up the phone because the figure mentioned is not correct. We want him here.”
Verdict
It’s certainly unlikely, especially following Gerrard’s assessment, that Rangers will cash in on Morelos.
The 22-year-old may be slightly hot-headed, but he has definitely endeared himself to the Ibrox faithful.

It would be a hugely unpopular decision to sell Morelos, and it’s clear Gerrard values him greatly.
Morelos has bags of potential, and could well establish himself as a cult hero with the Scottish giants.
