Neil Lennon's hypocrisy over Rangers highlighted by major club move

Yesterday, we spoke about Neil Lennon looking desperate in disparaging comments about Rangers and making statements.
The Celtic boss claimed the Ibrox club were “good” at making them, whilst Celtic “are above all that”. But around 24 hours later, Lennon was left looking like a bit of a hypocrite.
After the case against Jon Flanagan was chucked out, Celtic seethed. So much so that they couldn’t resist typing out their thoughts and releasing them to the public. Or as it’s known generally, making a statement.

“This whole matter is a huge embarrassment for Scottish football,” said a Celtic spokesperson, as quoted by the Scotsman.
No, in the end the decision was the right one. It was blown out of all proportion because Rangers beat Celtic. That’s it.

What’s embarrassing is using Rangers’ previous statement on the matter [Herald] as a stick to beat the club with, then having the brass neck to release one yourself.
It’s stunning hypocrisy. It also highlights the bitterness of Lennon’s original comments.
Whilst the Rangers statement might’ve jumped the gun, Celtic’s shows just how upset Sunday’s defeat has made them.
Rangers romped to a 2-0 victory at Ibrox and laid down an impressive marker for next season. No amount of focusing on the nothingness of a clash between Brown and Flanagan takes away from that.
Still, at least making statements is above them!
