Former Rangers striker Kyle Lafferty has helped out a young teammate at new club Sarpsborg.
The 32-year-old was heavily criticised by Bears for a perceived lack of effort during his second stint at Rangers where he scored just 6 times in 30 appearances [Soccerbase].

His contract was terminated by mutual consent in July and since August, he’s been plying his trade in the Norwegian top flight.
It looked like a bizarre short-term switch, but a Sky Sports feature on the Northern Ireland international’s life in Scandinavia revealed he’d like to stay on beyond his initial deal, which expires next month.
The feature showed him to be an integral part of the squad, furthering his reputation as a joker.
However, the footage also revealed a classy gesture from the forward not long after his arrival at the club.
Lafferty spotted teenage player Ismaila Coulibaly walking to training one morning. Coulibaly says that when he explained that’s how he got to the ground every day, Lafferty said “aw this is not good!” before taking matters into his own hands.
“Then, the next day after training, I saw a new bike for me,” the young midfielder said, as captured by Sky Sports.
The feature then shows a happy looking Coulibaly coming to training on a scooter, rather than a bike – perhaps that’s a detail that was lost in translation.
A fantastic gesture nonetheless from Lafferty, who has clearly made an effort with others in the squad since making the move from Glasgow.
With two games remaining in the season, Sarpsborg are still scrapping for survival and next face Haugesund on 24th November.
