Rangers loanee Adam Devine could have a crucial role to play in the Scottish Premiership title fight as Motherwell prepare to face Celtic.
The Gers have rocketed back to the top of the Scottish Premiership table courtesy of a solid 3-0 victory over St Johnstone with excitement building in the southside of Glasgow.
Celtic meanwhile are a club under increasing pressure and after three ex-Rangers stars had a role to play in the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock, one current squad player will be hoping to land another blow this coming weekend.
Rangers farmed Adam Devine out on loan to Motherwell in January and the right-back opened his professional scoring account with a goal against Aberdeen.
Rangers v Hearts, Motherwell v Celtic
Rangers know they have the chance to heap the pressure on Celtic and Brendan Rodgers when Hearts visit Ibrox this weekend.
The Jambos will provide a stiff test of Philippe Clement’s treble-chasing bears with Scotland’s undisputed third force on a monumental run which has them 14 points clear of 4th place in 3rd.
Not only would halting Hearts’ impressive run of eight straight wins deal an almighty blow to Celtic supporters, but it would send Rangers five points clear in the Premiership.
Celtic would then need to face off against Motherwell on Sunday at Fir Park knowing that anything but a victory would further dent their title ambitions.
Adam Devine could yet have title race say
Hearts’ latest victory came against Motherwell at Tynecastle with Adam Devine playing the entire match for the Steelmen.
The youngster will be hoping to play against a nervous Celtic side and if the Rangers loanee gets the nod he could yet have a big say in the Ibrox side’s title hunt.

Loan players have proven valuable weapons in title races of the past and Rangers will be hoping Adam Devine can make that impact for Motherwell.
Rangers are set to play Hearts at 3pm on Saturday afternoon (24/02) whilst Motherwell host Celtic at 12pm on the Sunday (25/02).
