Rangers loanee Adam Devine scored his first ever goal in professional football as Motherwell and Aberdeen played out a six-goal Premiership thriller.

The 20-year-old Rangers academy right-back joined Motherwell in January and will spend the remainder of the season on loan at the Steelmen.

And Adam Devine hasn’t wasted any time in making an impression at Fir Park, the full-back quickest to respond in the box to score his first Motherwell goal.

This follows on from an assist in the weekend’s Scottish Cup defeat to Greenock Morton and it’s good to see the kid have a promising start to a loan stint in the Scottish top flight.

Adam Devine scores for Motherwell

Motherwell raced into a 3-0 lead in the Scottish Premiership clash against Aberdeen at Pittodrie, Theo Bair netting a penalty after five minutes and a tap in around 17 minutes later.

Rangers loanee Adam Devine then got Motherwell’s third, the right-back neatly poking the ball into the far corner when it fell kindly in the box.

Aberdeen however were not be deterred and managed to haul two goals back before half-time through Duk and then Stefan Gartenmann.

Cape Verde international Duk then equalised only five minutes after the restart, with both teams having goals disallowed later in the game by VAR.

Rangers talent making impression

Adam Devine remains highly-rated at Rangers and this is the kid’s first loan move out of Ibrox to a Premiership club, having previously had stints at Brechin and Partick Thistle.

Coming through the youth ranks, Scotland U21 international Devine has been used sparingly but has had first team exposure in recent seasons.

But the defender found chances at a premium in the squad this season and given he needs to unsettle Rangers captain James Tavernier to win the berth you can see why.

Dujon Sterling is also a very capable deputy to the Ibrox skipper so Adam Devine has been given this chance at Motherwell and he appears to be taking it with both hands.

The young right-back has made 11 appearances for the Rangers first-team, making his debut in a Premiership clash against Dundee United at Ibrox in May 2022.
