Brighton loanee Abdallah Sima says he’s “loving” life at Rangers after picking up the October Player of the Month award in the Scottish Premiership.
The Senegalese international forward, 22, netted three goals in three October matches in the Scottish top flight and has impressed ever since moving to the club in the summer.
Scoring in the the 3-0 win over St Mirren and adding a double in the 4-0 victory over Hibs, these were two of a five game scoring run for the player in all competitions.
A tireless forward and a natural finisher, Rangers have mostly employed Player of the Month Abdallah Sima off the left-hand side of attack and he is making a positive impression in Glasgow.
Now, the attacker has taken to social media to announce he’s “loving” life at Rangers as he praised the staff and his teammates at Ibrox for helping to make him a better player.
“I am loving my time at Rangers so far and I feel like I am continuing to improve on the pitch,” Abdallah Sima said on the platform formerly known as Twitter.
“That is thanks to my teammates and the staff here who support me to continue to reach my best level.”
Rangers loanee Abdallah Sima wins Player of the Month award
Abdallah Sima has begun to show why Brighton paid a reported £7m to sign the attacker during his time at Slavia Prague.
Rangers fans were already familiar with the forward from his time in the Czech Republic, having faced Sima’s old club in a controversial Europa League clash back in 2021.
But since moving to Premier League Brighton, Abdallah Sima has struggled to leave an impression with stuttering loan moves to Stoke City and Angers failing to capture the imagination.
Rangers however appear to be a different story altogether and it’s great to see Abdallah Sima pick up the Player of the Month award for his efforts as he earns plaudits from his Ibrox teammates.
Ibrox-linked scout Piotr Kasprzak has also suggested that Abdallah Sima has been on the club’s radar since before his switch to Brighton.

“We remembered him from the times of Slavia Prague. He joined Slavia and was a sensation,” Kasprzak tells Polish publication Goal.
“We rated him highly. But we simply couldn’t spend that much money on him at the time. He went to Brighton, then went on loan to France, came back, and now has been loaned to Rangers.”
October Player of the Month Abdallah Sima has made 20 appearances for Rangers, scoring nine goals.
As for a permanent move, it’s not yet been ruled out.
