Rangers striker Bojan Miovski is unlikely to be a popular figure in North Macedonia after his actions during the international break.

The 26-year-old was picked to be a part of the North Macedonia squad during the international break.

However, he opted to leave the international setup after just one game in which he was an unused substitute.

Bojan Miovski’s unprofessional behaviour may see him not being called up by North Macedonia

North Macedonia boss Goce Sedloski had to explain himself for the omission of Miovski from the World Cup qualifier against Denmark.

Sedloski’s side lost 4-0 in the semi-final, which means that they will not be competing in the 48-nation tournament this summer.

Miovski was an unused substitute in that game and the petulant striker opted to leave the international setup due to that fact.

North Macedonia have a game against the Republic of Ireland later on Tuesday, and Miovski would have been in contention to play that one.

However, his decision to leave the group may now put his international career in jeopardy.

Speaking about the Rangers striker as well as Lokomotiva Zagreb forward Aleksandar Trajkovski, Sedloski said: “Those players who play for their clubs have a greater right to be starters for the national team. That’s how I picked the team for the Denmark game.

“If someone says they don’t want to play for us, it’s not me they are letting down, it’s their own country. I don’t see any reason for anyone to be angry because they didn’t start.

“I would also add that the door is not closed to anyone in the future. But I make the decisions.”

Miovski also faces an uncertain future at Rangers

Miovski could leave Rangers in the summer as the club are preparing to sign new strikers.

Danny Rohl clearly does not seem to rate the 26-year-old who moved to Ibrox when Russell Martin was the manager.

The German fancies Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi, and seldom turns to Miovski, making it clear that his priorities lie elsewhere.

The fact that there are two players ahead of him in the pecking order and plans to sign another forward basically means that the Light Blues could cash in on Miovski.

It remains to be seen how much they can recoup for him, as it has been an underwhelming campaign for him.
