Rangers midfielder Bongani Zungu could finally make his Europa League bow against Standard Liege at Ibrox on Thursday night.
Zungu signed for the Gers on an initial loan deal from Amiens almost two months ago, but due to a quarantine period and minor knocks, he’s only made two appearances to date.

His outing off the bench in the 8-0 win over Hamilton was impressive, while he showed glimpses of quality during his 70 minutes on the pitch at Falkirk on Sunday.
He hasn’t been tested out against top opposition yet, but may well get his first taste of European action this week.
Ryan Jack looks unlikely to feature against Standard after he was declared a ‘major doubt’ by Steven Gerrard [Rangers FC Twitter] and while Joe Aribo is in contention after recovering from a minor illness, he only returned to training on Tuesday and may not be risked unless it’s absolutely necessary.
Gerrard is likely to go with Steven Davis, Scott Arfield and Glen Kamara in his starting XI, just as he did against Benfica.
However, that midfield trio tired in the final stages last week and with Zungu back fit, he now has an option to change things off the bench.

The South Africa international prides himself on his aggression out of possession, while his positivity on the ball and range of passing could give the Gers something extra in the final half an hour, whether they are pushing for goals or looking to close out a win.
Another of Rangers’ summer signings, Kemar Roofe, has already made a big impact in the Europa League, and on Thursday night, there’s every chance Zungu will finally get his own chance to shine under the lights at Ibrox.
