Rangers forward Kemar Roofe could be facing an uncertain future following yet another starting XI snub by Giovanni van Bronckhorst in the Ibrox sides 2-2 draw with Motherwell on Sunday.
Roofe has only started two matches this year, the 3-0 thrashing by Celtic – purely because Alfredo Morelos was on international duty – and the Scottish Cup win over Annan Athletic.

The 29-year-old signed for the club in the summer of 2020 from Belgian side Anderlecht and was seen as a crucial addition to the playing squad which was aiming to win its first title in 10 years.
A welcome return of 18 goals in 36 games in all competitions last season went a long way to the side achieving glory and this was despite spending numerous spells out injured.
This campaign has been different, although a decent enough start under Steven Gerrard saw the player score nine goals until the Englishman left for Aston Villa, opportunities and goals have been hard to come by under Gio.
Only two goals have been scored since the 1st of December, again injury issues haven’t exactly helped the cause, but he simply hasn’t been given the chance under the Dutchman.
Of course, Alfredo Morelos has been in sublime form as of late, but Roofe can be a gamechanger when he is fit and firing.
What effect will yet another peripheral role on Sunday have on Roofe going forward? He still has two years left on his current deal and van Bronckhorst might cash in during the summer.
