Rangers dynamic midfielder Nicolas Raskin is a man heavily in demand as he continues to turn heads on global duty with Belgium at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Fresh off executing a stunning, pinpoint assist for Romelu Lukaku to cap off a 5-1 rout of New Zealand, the 25-year-old’s stock has never been higher.

With European heavyweights circling Ibrox, a definitive transfer battle for his signature has officially ignited.

Newly-promoted Premier League side Hull City have thrown down the gauntlet, testing the resolve of the Rangers hierarchy with an opening bid worth up to £14million.

Nicolas Raskin has been linked with a Rangers exit…

Kris Boyd delivers reality check to Nicolas Raskin

While Hull City look to construct a midfield capable of surviving top-flight football, Rangers are holding firm on an uncompromising asking price of at least £20m.

Ibrox hero Kris Boyd believes the Belgian dynamo needs to take a step back and think very carefully before jumping at a move to the MKM Stadium just to play in the Premier League.

Speaking on The Warm-Up, Boyd delivered a characteristically blunt appraisal of Raskin’s Premier League aspirations.

While acknowledging that the player clearly backs himself to play at the highest level in England, Boyd warned that a move to the Tigers might quickly turn into a nightmare.

He said, “I would have thought Nicolas Raskin would have thought that he could get better in the English Premier League.

“The English Premier League, it’s a big step up for him, and I don’t think that he would want to get into a Hull City team that could be potentially struggling or will be struggling.”

Who must Rangers sell as part of the squad overhaul this summer?

Cavenagh and Rohl have major decisions to make.

Better options await Rangers dynamo

Boyd’s comments cut right to the core of the dilemma facing Raskin. Trading the European pedigree and silverware ambitions of Ibrox for a gruelling, low-block relegation dogfight under the bright lights of the Premier League could completely stall his current momentum.

If Raskin does decide his future lies away from Govan, he certainly does not need to rush into a relegation-threatened environment.

Hull City are far from the only horse in the race, and a stellar World Cup campaign under the watchful eyes of global scouts is opening much more prestigious doors.

The Rangers board is currently assessing heavy interest from top-tier continental suitors who can offer European football and a more progressive style of play.

Real Betis are said to be confident of their chances of landing the Belgium interest, while Atalanta are also keeping tabs on his situation at Ibrox, where Derek McInnes has just taken charge.
