If the latest nugget of quizzical insight from James McFadden is anything to go by, then he should probably stick to scoring 30-yeard screamers against France. Seriously.
The Scotland goalscoring legend is now Assistant Manager in the country’s backroom staff. It seems he wants to turn his hand to punditry too.
Speaking to Sky Sports the pundit was talking about the need for Rangers to buy a striker in January. Rather than to provide quality cover, McFadden had other reasons. He said that they need one because Morelos “is suspended more than he plays”.

More than just lean on a strangely obsessive stereotype that he’s a hothead, he’s also just plain wrong. Morelos has only had three one match suspensions in two years at Rangers.
That’s two domestically for accumulative bookings – including the one at the weekend. And also one in Europe for two yellow cards.
Rangers fans not happy with James McFadden
Naturally, Rangers fans were also quick to jump to the defence of their striker.

The list goes on and on…
Rangers fans are quite right to rage about this nonsense narrative on Morelos. It isn’t even close to being reflected in the stats.
Perhaps some people are running a little scared of the frightening form of the Colombian. He is the country’s leading man at the moment and seems to be able to do no wrong among the Rangers fans.
Alongside this other Rangers man, he is becoming a formidable force for the club.
