Will Rangers have an eye on reported target Graeme Shinnie today?

Rangers high profile Scottish Cup clash with Aberdeen isn’t just the chance to secure a spot in the competition’s semi-final.
It’s also the chance to get a closer look at a player who was strongly linked with Ibrox in January.

Rangers were first linked to the 27-year-old Scotland international by Bristol Live in the last window. Any hopes, or fears, of signing the player were dashed when The Scottish Sun reported he’d signed for Wigan Athletic.

Derek McInnes reopened the door for Rangers to pounce when he rubbished those reports not long after.
Fans have always been mixed about the potential signing of the player. It’s an interesting proposition and one which is even more interesting when you consider he can sign a pre-contract.

Today, Rangers will get a closer look at the player in what is a huge match for both sides. That said, let’s hope that he doesn’t play too well.
