Nottingham Forest Manager Aitor Karanka has told Joe Worrall to improve or risk losing his space in his squad.
The manager also spoke about his need to play football at the age he is and how Forest already have four top quality centre backs at the club.
It’s competitive in their squad, and it looks like Karanka is challenging Worrall to step up.
If he doesn’t, he could end up being shipped out.
But will that alert Rangers to his availability?

Karanka said:
“I am really pleased, because if he is enjoying it in Glasgow and he is improving, he will come back here, stronger.
“The only thing he has to do is show us that he is ready to play in this team.
“He needs to understand that for him, at 21-year-old, he needs to play football.
“If he comes back at the end of the season and he is a better player – and I hope he is, because he says he is enjoying it and improving – he will be part of the team.”
Worrall says he’s improving at Rangers
Joe Worrall has been the subject of much debate recently. The Nottingham Forest loanee’s attitude and comments have polarised fans.
The English centre back commented recently on his love of Nottingham Forest and spoke about his ambitions to return to the club.
But if he can’t get a game there, would you take him at Rangers permanently? Gerrard has already spoken of his ambitions to sign all of his loan players.

For me, I think there’s a player there. He’s vocal, commanding and good on the ball on his day.
But he can also switch off in key moments, such as against Killie at Ibrox.
That said, I can’t see him coming to the club permanently anyway.
With Nottingham Forest reportedly rejecting £10m for the centre back last season, Rangers are likely to be priced out of a move.
