This afternoon, Alfredo Morelos will be hoping to guide Rangers to League Cup final glory at Hampden.
The 23-year-old forward has been the matchwinner on so many occasions for his side this season.
The fact that he already has 25 club goals for the campaign, shows just how strong and consistent his form has been.
Whether it’s been in the Premiership, in Europe or in the League Cup, he’s taken responsibility time and time again.
Legia Warsaw, Hearts and Porto are just a few of the teams who have been downed by Morelos’ finishing ability in recent times.
However, as has been very well documented, he’s yet to produce the goods in an Old Firm [Sunday Post].
At Parkhead in March, he was red-carded for lashing out, with that reaction prompting Steven Gerrard to drop him for the final meeting of the 2018/19 season and the only one so far in 2019/20.
There’s no way he’s sitting out this afternoon, though.
It isn’t a matter of whether or not he will play, but whether or not he can manage to break his duck and inspire a victory.
He’s answered all the other questions put in front of him in recent times. Will he ever calm down and improve his discipline? Yes. Can he score in big games? Yes. Can he produce at international level? Yes.
Now, he needs to get this Old Firm monkey off his back and secure his first trophy as a Rangers player.
